This thing is a little creepy but awesome in a way. Give it wheels and a personality and it would be a Tachikoma.
I was having trouble the other day syncing my iPhone apps to both my mac mini and my powerbook and I found this great hack to get multiple itunes on the same page.
TornadoVideos.net is home to the most extreme storm chaser footage that you will find anywhere on the internet or anywhere else. Reed Timmer and Joel Taylor have been chasing storms since 1997. If you’ve seen cool tornado footage on your television, chances are that these two shot it.
I have become addicited to Jaw Breaker on the iPhone. The game is sort of like bejeweled. The basic concept is select two or more balls of the same color and the bigger the block of the balls you get more points.
I was walking by the Apple store and there was a short line of about 10 people. I waited an hour and got my iPhone. I tried to post via the wordpress app but it keep crashing. I got the 16 gig black.
E3 08 came to a close yesterday. Here are the things that really caught my attention at the convention.
Those who know me know that I am an avid wrestling fan. However, I’m not so much a fan of the WWE these days. Their product has simply grown stale over the years and this even reflects in their video games. Nothing much seems to have changed for their latest Smackdown vs. Raw aside from the better graphics, match types, and a few new game play elements. The game looks identical to previous versions. TNA on the other hand is fresh and full of great potential and so is their game.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s been looking forward to Playstation Home. Who wouldn’t want to interact with their friends in a virtual reality? At their press conference, Sony revealed that there would be areas in the Home environment for specific game titles.
The Playstation Network Video Store was launched the night after Sony’s conference. You can buy or rent movies and TV shows to be downloaded to the PS3’s hard drive. Not only can you watch this content on your TV, you can also take it with you on your PSP. There are actually some great titles in the store so far. One of the best things about the store in my view though, is the anime section. Blood Trinity or Gunslinger Girl anyone? Each episode costs $2 a pop. That is significantly cheaper than paying around the area of $20-$30 for three episodes on DVD at the store and should help promote the legal distribution of anime in the US. I’m sure many anime fans know the feeling of wanting to support the creators but are unable to afford to.
What can I say about this game besides that it looks epic? It’s possibly the most promising title that was at the convention.
I’ve been eyeing the DS for awhile now, and the DS version of Spore which focuses on creature creation may sway me to buy one in the coming months.
There where some exciting new things that popped up from independent developers at this year’s E3.
levelHead is one of these. levelHead is a spatial memory game for linux that relies on a DIY print out block and a webcam. You move the block around in front of the webcam and the game’s character follows the way you tilt the block on your computer screen as if he where inside the block. This holds potential for making it’s way to a version for Sony’s Eye Toy in the near future.
Ibb and Obb utilises the Unreal 2004 engine in a very unique way. The engine was tweaked to make a side scrolling platform game that focuses on team work to get through stages by finding ways to use the polar opposite gravities to your advantage.
Both of these titles are almost beyond explanation in words, so make sure to check out the links for video action.

wp-config file and wp-content directories to a custom location, for “clean” SVN checkouts. Thanks to @drandolph I have found a very addicting game. The goal of Hedgehog Launch is to get your hedgehog into space. You do this by upgrading your rocket and launcher.
Caution this link is addicting.

Skip the scanner and create your work digitally with a Wacom pen tablet! Wacom products are known throughout the digital art community for their quality. You don’t have to break the bank to start using one of these. The Bamboo Fun starts out at $100. Drawing with these tablets is directly comparable to the feel and even the sound of a pen on paper. Everything down to the packaging it comes in beams with professional quality. If you’re at all serious about your art and want to go digital, a wacom tablet is a must have.
@LeoLaporte got me started on twitter. But with all of twitters down time I started looking at the other micro blogging sites. After I signed up for one, I signed up for another one etc… now that I have tried almost all of them … now how to I post from one to update them all? I first tried this link. It did an ok job. So after some more googleing I found a mac app called MoodBlast but it had limited collection of microblogs. Next I found HelloTxt which seems to have all microblogs and is always updating to the newest ones like Plurk.
